The leaf guard is elongated sheet of  aluminum adapted to fit over the rain gutter  that directs water flow from the roof into the gutter while preventing leaves  from entering the gutter. The guard is formed into a section that is secured to a roof, extending from the planar section, cornered lip extending from the trough to secure the device to the outer rim of a gutter.
